maybe we should all just get horses
listening to... Soul Coughing,
Irresistable Bliss.
reading... The Golden Compass, by Philip Pullman.
feeling... hungry.
I went out and did some christmas shopping, finally. I got Carla the new Prince CD, which she better not buy because I can't return it. Joe and I told her that it was coming out in March, so... maybe she'll just forget about it until then. *laughs* She's a little dippy, so it's worth a shot. I got Joe this book that he's been wanting, The Instant Horoscope Reader, so all I need to get him now is the blender and he'll be done. I also got Adam a fun thing that I won't mention here, because I know he reads this. (hi!) It's cute, though. I went to Sal's to look for a teapot, and while they did have some, they were all very, very ugly. I did get some kitschy old paperbacks with fun covers, and a little green hardcover book called Surviving in the New Earth. It's biblical, but the illustrations inside were worth the 49 cents. I'm trying to get a little crafty this christmas, since I'm really short on cash and perpetually unemployed, so I'm thinking the book covers could somehow make fun cards. Ah, and I got an argyle sweater for myself. Yes, yes, I gave in an bought something for myself. It was $2.99 and too cute to pass up. It's kind of itchy, though. Bah. So in all I got 8 books, a cd, and a sweater for $35. Not bad, really.
*huge grin* I'm wearing my Harry Potter shirt. It makes me way too happy. I think I may need therapy sometime soon.
I was thinking about something today. You know, because I do that sometimes. When I'm a pedestrian, cars annoy me. Other pedestrians also annoy me. When I'm driving, pedestrians annoy me, as do other cars. If there's a middle ground in there somewhere, I'm just not seeing it.
I also thought briefly about Destiny's Child, and decided that if they weren't always dressed like triplets I might not be so disgusted every time I see them. I mean, is it really necessary for all of them to wear the exact same thing? And what's even worse is that their identical outfits are always ugly as sin. They look scary. Do they do it to show "group unity" or some such cheesy sentiment? Because if so, it's not working. However, if their goal is to make me violently ill, well hey, mission accomplished.
