you rarely see one oat all by itself
Things that happened today: it snowed, my mom stopped by, Adam fixed my scanner, we hung out and rented
The Royal Tenenbaums, I ate spaghetti for dinner, and I watched Buffy. Well, technically, I
am watching Buffy, but I wanted to take a break to write something before I get too engrossed in it.
The snow was pretty, and hopefully sometime tomorrow Adam and I can go sledding. Finally. My mom was indeed here, but I didn't see much of her. No big, unusual deal there, though - not seeing her is becoming the unfortunate norm. It took Adam about three seconds to fix the scanner, because I am technologically inept and had it hooked up incorrectly. D'oh. The Royal Tenebaums was... eh. It was okay, but I wasn't crazy about it. It was amusing, but ultimately sort of boring and (dare I say) bland. Please don't attack me. Adam seemed to like it, though, which is cool. My indifference-leaning-toward-dislike could be due, in part, to the inexplicable fatigue that's been hanging around me all day. I don't get it. I go to bed too late, yeah, but I also sleep late. I usually get the requisite eight hours in, if not more. My sleep schedule isn't that much different than anyone else's - it's just sort of shifted a bit. And yet I'm exhausted, for no recognizable reason. Blah.
The spaghetti was good, but it could have used more sauce.
Buffy is, of course, highly entertaining. I've watched the first two episodes of the third disc thus far tonight (episodes 9 and 10), and I'm going to get at least one more in, if not two or possibly even three. Weeeee! I talked to Joe tonight about the specifics of our Buffy-watching "party," and barring a sudden apocalypse or the chance to take home lots of free money, it's set for Friday night at 6. There's no way we're going to be able to fit in all 22 episodes, so I'm thinking that we can just watch seven or eight of the best and then call it a night. Adam and I can watch the whole season when we get back to school, where there is a DVD player, few distractions (homework? feh!), and a roommate who is often out and about for the better part of the evening. Score.
I should probably work on getting to bed at a reasonable time before school starts up again, because I do have an 8 o' clock class twice a week (and a 10 o' clock class on the other three days). Eck. Also - packing? Moving? Not looking forward to these things.
Hrm. To continue writing or go back to watching Buffy? I think the right choice here is quite obvious, if you're me. Which I am. So back to Buffy it is, then - ciao.
(The title was stolen from my George Carlin desk calendar. I skipped ahead to the 8th, because I'm bad and immoral and I have no respect for the natural passage of time. Shame on me.)
