mofo snow, getting all up in my hizzay
Argh. It's Wednesday night - Angel night. And there's a new episode tonight. Normally I'd be cuddled up with Adam waiting for it to come on, but it's snowing tonight so I'll be watching on my own. Which is not nearly as much fun. Mofo snow and freezing-ass temperatures that will turn said snow into sheets of icy death by midnight. You know, I hate hot weather, and Pennsylvania is really pretty, but sometimes living in the North-East really blows ass. Isn't there some magical paradise where the temperature is always between 55 and 75 degrees? And also, if that magical paradise could be somehow hidden and/or completely isolated, I'd really appreciate it. Because such a place would of course draw people like rotting flesh draws flies, and not even a perpetually mild climate is enough to make me live amongst great numbers of the unwashed masses.
So yeah, I'm hanging out solo tonight. I was over at Joe's earlier, attempting to watch Joan of Arcadia... which didn't happen, since the laptop they have hooked up to their TV was having nine kinds of issues with the disc I had the episode on. Sad. I don't really feel like going down their again, though. Dunno why. I guess I'll just kick Tango out of my papasan chair and cozy up with my good friend Television for a while. It's the first new episode of Angel in like 2 1/2 months, so I'm mildly excited. Emphasis on "mildly," because so much time away has really dulled my interest and anticipation. A new Tru Calling is on tomorrow night - eh. That show had potential, both premise- and cast-wise, but the writing is just atrocious. Offensively so, really. The humane thing to do would be to cancel the damn thing immediately so Eliza Dushku can get back to being Faith and Zach Galifianakis (who plays Davis, the one character that I actually like) can find a role on a show that won't drag him down into the murky quagmire of badness and failure along with it. Because seriously? Dude deserves better.
And then Friday brings the most anticipated TV of all: a new episode of Joan. I'm so ridiculously in love with that show. Mucho excitement has been bubbling since last Friday's episode ended, I assure you. Squee!
Ahem. Why am I talking about TV? I don't even watch much TV, contrary to how it may appear. I really only watch those three shows, and occasionally stuff on Food TV, Cartoon Network, and Comedy Central. But I have very little else to say, so I guess it's just something to fall back on. Not that anyone gives a shit, but hey.
I was going to break down and buy myself some web space to make an actual site for my art, but I managed to inadvertently freeze my checking account... so I can't do that tonight. Alas. I was getting all tingly and excited in my artsy-geek bits.
More to come after Angel, possibly. Now I'm going to get a fresh glass of water and some carrots to munch on while I watch. Adieu.
