Archie Bunker is a human sewer pipe
Wonders upon wonders - I had a life today! I've been out and about with
Amanda, which is always a fun time. We went to Friendly's for lunch, where we ate way too much food and got sick. That's okay, though, because I got to have my beloved onion dippers again. Mmm. *drools* God, they're so good. I used to eat them every day when I worked there. After lunch we went back to her house and watched TV and things. There were lots of shows about Britney Spears and various other pop stars, so it was amusing. Not exceptionally deep or thought provoking, but amusing none the less.
I got the best Powerpuff Girls valentines today. Well, the second best. They're the little kid kind, the ones that you give to all your friends in elementary school. They're shiny and foily and they make me kind of happy. I wish I would have gotten the regular, non-shiny ones, though, because in retrospect I think they were more fun. And two bucks cheaper, to boot. Oh well. I still enjoy the ones I got - now I just have to figure out who to send them to. I've got 30 valentines and only about 10 people to give them to. Hmm. Maybe I'll just go through the phone book and send them to random people with funny names. Or not. You know.
I get my tire fixed tomorrow! It's about goddamn time. It's going to be so nice to be independently mobile again. Then I can start the job hunt for real, because this being poor business has to end. I'm actually considering going to back to Friendly's, just because I want to have some money again. To understand the severity of this thought, you must first understand how much I loathe serving. Which is quite a lot. I'm not a people person, especially when it comes to rude, low-tipping, Carlisle-ites who treat me like a rent-a-slave. So for me to think about serving again is pretty drastic. Blah. Being broke sucks.
I hate All in the Family. Have I mentioned that before? I think I have. Archie Bunker is a foul man. If I ever met him I'd punch him in the face, just for fun. Of course, he's just a character, but still. It's nice to imagine.
Edited at 11:30 p.m. Okay, so Archie Bunker has redeemed himself. Slightly. He is no longer a human sewer pipe. He is now a human mud puddle. Messy and dirty and unpleasant if you step in it, but ultimately harmless.
