the entry that was almost lost in a tragic accident
Okay, I opened this little box an hour ago, but then I got all caught up in organizing my mp3s. So typical.
Today has been pretty decent, surprisingly. Adam and I headed back to my house to pack some more, which, as usual, was a pain in the ass. But having him there made it less of a drag than it could have been, because there are kisses interspersed with endless manual labor. This is good. We shoved things in boxes for about two hours or so, and then loaded up his car with some of it and went over to the new house. My mom, my grandma, and my uncle were there, unloading things and painting. The living room and dining room have been painted this pinkish color, with eggshell highlights - they did a sponge-painting thing. It looks kind of nice. I get to pick out paint for my room sometime early this week, possibly tomorrow. I've got my heart set on bright red for the walls, but I need to pick something complimentary for the ceiling and "baseboards." I'm excited... I'll post pictures of my fun new room at some point, when I get over there with the digital camera.
Ooh, fun thing: we might get my brother Jobe's dog. He's a big, black Newfoundland, and I want him really, really, really badly. He's so big and sweet and fun... aww, yay. I haven't had a dog in almost 13 years, so I'm really excited. I predict many more trips home to hang out in my third-floor attic room and play with my giant, 150-pound dog.
I am not at all looking forward to the start of a spanking new week of classes. Boring, boring, boring. Nor am I happy about the fact that Emily and Justin are very, completely broken up, because it means that she and Goth Boy are now very, very attached at the groin and will NEVER, EVER LEAVE AGAIN. I am now guaranteed to have little to no personal space/time, which of course makes me dance with glee. Gah. Are you sure that homicide is always a crime?
But on a brighter note, we picked up Adam's Nintendo from Game Traders this afternoon, and it works perfectly now. At least, it seems to. We played Mario 3 for a while before he went to do this Up A Tree thing, and it was like being a little kid again - awesome. Too bad neither of us remembered how to save the game, so we had to abandon our two levels of progress. Bah!
Hrm... what else to say? I'm being a very bad little student and letting my art homework sit in the corner until tomorrow night, because I really don't feel like doing it. Nothing new there. I would like to beat Emily about the face with something large and sharp, possibly a mace. Also not new.
I'm going to go amuse myself with random things until Adam comes and saves me from the oppressive, claustrophobic cave that my room has become. Fun.
