cat considerations
Mmm. There's nothing like spending the night with Adam to put me in a good mood. I took him back to school around 8 tonight, and then came home because I'm not feeling too well. Bleh. But we had a great night. We made dinner and rented
Jeepers Creepers and slept in until 1:30 the next day. The movie was weird. I don't know what else to say about it. It freaked me out. We wanted to get
Ghost World, but Blockbuster sucks and they didn't have any in stock.
I have to get up at 8 a.m. tomorrow. Just the thought of it pains me. I'm taking Adam (brother) to work in the morning, and I have to be at the prison by 9:15. I want to go to bed kind of early tonight anyway, though, so it's okay. I'm achy and incredibly tired. I want to eat something, but I'm afraid it'll make me ill. We've got some strawberries in the fridge - those should be safe. I don't know what my deal is; I shouldn't be this tired. Eh. Hopefully I'll feel better in the morning, because this just sucks. I hurt all over and unconsciousness sounds lovely.
On a lighter note, I think we might get another cat. I'm a bit apprehensive about it, because Gizmo is a very strange kitty and I don't know how well she'd get along with a newcomer. Years ago, we had a cat named Dusty who was a lot like Gizmo. She was very skittish, she had a flea allergy, etc. The similarities are striking. Well, we got a baby cat from one of my older brothers, and Dusty didn't take well to her. One day I came home and found them curled up together in a basket under the sink, and I assumed they were starting to get used to each other. I was quite wrong. She spent more and more time at a neighbor's house (she was an outside cat), coming back only to eat. Eventually, she stopped coming back altogether, and we just gave the neighbor all of her cat stuff and let her have Dusty. She's a very nice woman; the cat made her happy, and Dusty seemed to like her, so we figured it was for the best. At least she didn't end up a stray or something.
Yeah... so the moral of this story is that I'd like a baby cat, but I'm concerned. Gizmo's a freak, but I don't want her to run away. She's a lovable little freak.
