fill me with fish eyes and I'll be just fine
Ho hum. I'm sitting at my dad's computer, waiting for Mason to fall asleep. I think I may just use this one for a while and then hit the sack, though, because I have to get up kind of early to take my grandma somewhere. She needs a new telephone, and so I am taking her to get one. And then I will probably come home and read and putz around on the computer while I should be out finding a job, because I'm horribly lazy like that.
Yeah.
So anyway, let's discuss my day, shall we? Oh, I know that sounds so very self-absorbed, but it is my diary, after all. Mer. I went to see Adam around 2:30 this afternoon, and when I got there we headed off to Chocolate World to get baked in the oven. You see, there's a "chocolate making tour" ride, and while you're on it you go through an "oven" of sorts. It's fun. I've been through it more times than I can even begin to recall, but I still love to do it. It's goofy kid-fun AND you get free chocolate at the end. Life doesn't get much better than that.
After Chocolate World, we went back to Annville and decided that since it was absolutely gorgeous outside, we'd go to Quittie Park. It's not really a park so much as it's a... well, a nature-type place. There's a creek and hiking trails and all that good stuff. We walked around for a while and then climbed down from what I'll call the "observation deck" (read: a concrete platform with wooden railings and a bench) to sit by the creek. I had If...? (Questions for the Game of Life) with me, so we hung around by the water for an hour or two, answering random questions. It's a fun way to pass the time, and if you add to that the beautiful weather and the great company, well, I had a terrific afternoon. When it started to get dark we went back to his room and cuddled for a little while (which is my very favorite thing to do), and then it was home again, home again for me. That's all right, though. His spring break starts this weekend, so I'll be an obnoxiously happy little chipmunk very shortly.
Oh yes, somewhere in between all the other stuff we went to Wal-Mart to get some blank CDs. While we were there, Adam decided that it would be nice to get me Alanis Morissette's new CD. I've been anticipating its release, but unfortunately at the moment I am dead-ass broke. I protested for quite a while, because really, I feel bad when he buys me thing. I do. I don't ask him to and I certainly don't expect him to, but he says he likes to do it. Rrarrr. My protests fell on deaf ears, though, because when we left, we left with the CD. He got me gas, too! *sigh* The boy is incorrigible, I swear. I needed the gas, though, and it's a really good CD, so I shan't complain any longer.
There's a cup of tapioca pudding in the fridge and it's calling my name. "Amandaaaaa," it whispers, "look how good and full of fish eyes I am. Don't you just want to eat me up? You know you do." And yes, in fact, I do. Very much so. However, despite what it would have me believe, it's not full of fish eyes. It has very few fish eyes, actually. It's disappointing. I suppose that's what I get for buying the cheapie tapioca, though. I've got a craving for some of the Swiss Miss variety... perhaps I'll scrounge up three bucks in change and swing by the grocery store tomorrow. Hmm. For now, though, I believe I shall fall prey to the low-grade, talking tapioca that I have on hand. *runs off to find a spoon*
Cheers.
