Maggots - it's what's for dinner.
Adam and I went to my Creative Writing professor's poetry reading tonight. There was one other featured reader, and then open mic stuff. It was pretty enjoyable, actually - I didn't really expect to get very into it, but at some points I did. Especially when the last person, this cool black girl, read - she was awesome. I'd definitely go see her again. Adam seemed to like it as well, which wasn't exactly a surprise, but wasn't exactly a given, either. You know? Yeah.
Tomorrow we're heading down to Maryland to visit Meghan, Marty, and Baby Olivia. Well, Meghan and Baby Olivia, anyway. There is talk of going to Ikea. I've never been there, as we don't have any in Central PA, but I've heard things. Many things. Many wonderful, squee!-inducing things. So that could be exciting. Adam mentioned going to the Sanrio store as well, but dude - I'm poor. I can't buy anything. Don't take me someplace that's filled with Hello Kitty and Chococat and Nyago merchandise when I can't actually BUY any of it. Que pasa?
I should note that I have only a vague idea what "que pasa?" means, so I may or may not have used it correctly. I'd put my money on not.
Random: You know what squicks me out? Ground beef. That shit is just... ugh. I don't know how I ever put it in my mouth. The sight of it, raw or cooked, seriously makes my skin crawl. And my stomach turn. And all sort of other nasty things. It looks like maggots.
And with that, I must get to bed. I'm going to attempt to get up 8. Yes, 8 AM. Wish me luck.
