the day that all other days should aspire to be
Today was just... lovely. Absolutely. Gorgeous, perfect weather - not to warm, not too cool, sunny and bright. I think we, the people of Earth, should pool our collective resources and find a way to make every single day feel like today. Just being outside made me happy.
I hung out with Joe and Joe for a while in the afternoon, in an effort to catch them up on the episodes of Joan that they've missed - we only got one in, though. Adam joined us, and then we went to the park for a rousing game of... bocce ball! Hell yeah. Joe and Joe gave Adam and I a super-deluxe bocce ball set for christmas, but it hasn't been nice enough outside to break it in until now. We only played to 16 points, because my tummy was rumbling for dinner, but it was really fun. Adam and I won, of course. We rock. We're like bocce ball masters. Which is funny, considering that we're young American kids and not old, white-haired Italians, but whatever. And hey, I've got little Italian in me - that counts for something, right?
After our landslide victory (17 to 15!), Joe and Joe took off to Borders while we went back to my house to have dinner. Parmesan Ranch Chik Patties, how do I love thee? I cannot count the ways - there are simply too many. Then we, erm, occupied ourselves for a while... but not in the kitchen, of course. Such things are luxuries that living with one's parents does not afford. Then we caught The Simpsons, in which Sarah Michelle Gellar guest-voiced as a girl in juvenile hall. Interesting choice. You can't say it was type-casting, at least.
And then Adam took off into the cold, unyielding arms of his homework, and I had myself a fudgesicle while putzing around online. My Drawing homework is done. I have no other pressing assignments. My evening is free and clear. What will I do with it? Well, probably kick back in the pom-pom chair and watch some TV on DVD, since I own 9 official box sets (5 Buffy, 3 Angel, 1 Family Guy) and have VCDs of every episode that has aired so far of Joan of Arcadia and Wonderfalls (which everyone should be watching but apparently is not). So, lots of options in the viewing department. And there will be snacks, and yet another overflowing glass of water (I've had 12 glasses thus far today), and it will be glorious.
Farewell, dear readers. I do hope you had/are having as pleasant a Sunday as myself.
