hail the conquering hero
I'm about to fire up my newly working DVD drive and watch me some Buffy, so this is going to be quick. Adam reinstalled Windows for me this evening, which apparently fixed everything that was wrong with this stupid machine. My DVD player works. My copy of Illustrator works (woo!). And all of a sudden I have 8 GB of free space instead of 2, even though I put everything back on the hard drive. How could 6 GB of stuff just go unnoticed? I mean, that's a lot of space. But in any case, now it's clean and fresh and working properly, so I'm going to watch "Homecoming" and knit a bit more of my Gryffindor scarf before heading off to sleep.
Other than computer stuff, today has been heinously unproductive. I didn't start my paper, which I really needed to do. It's starting to gnaw at my mind, as such things do when put off until the last minute. At this rate I'll need to write four pages tomorrow night and four pages on Thursday, which... well, there's no way in hell. I haven't done any research. I don't care about my topic. It's boring, the class sucks, I hate this fucking place, and I just really, really want to go home and sleep for the rest of eternity. This last months is sucking more than I ever thought possible. So unfair.
Well... I'm off to immerse myself in Buffy and knitting. I really don't have much else to say, so this entry is entirely horizontal rule free. Amazing.
