bad hotness in the morning
It was so foul in my house this morning. My brother has a tendency to use his outside voice while inside, so he was tromping around yelling about god only knows what at 7:30. I managed to fall back asleep once he left, but then around 9 or so, my mom and her friend Pat came into my room to ooh and ahh of how cute Rufus is. And you know, he is, but is it necessary to disturb my beauty sleep to fawn over a cat? Because I need all the help I can get in the beauty department, buddies. More than anything else, though, the heat was what sucked. When I went to sleep last night it was lovely and cool and I could bundle up under the covers without dying of heat shock. When I woke up, it was about 400 degrees in my room, and I was tangled up in two very heavy blankets. It was gross. Waking up sweaty is no fun.
Anyway. No one's here. It's nice. I can listen to music sans headphones. I just remembered that I told my grandma I'd go over and help her get some things out of her shed. Woo. I completely forgot about it until just now. I don't mind doing it, but I'm not really looking forward to dragging boxes in out and of the house for who knows how long in this infernal heat. Where did spring go? Seriously. I know it's a short season and all, but god damn, last time I checked, "short" and "nonexistent" were not synonymous. Boo to premature summer.
I get to help out with sound/lighting and art direction on some films my cousin C.C. is making around here. Have I mentioned this? I don't think so. But yeah, I haven't talked to her in ages because she's been going to film school all over the frickin' world for years... she called me a few days ago, though, to ask if I would be interested in helping. YES! Of course. So this weekend I'm going to be doing that. It sounds really cool, and I'm kind of excited about it. I mean, I lead such a boring life. Finally, something interesting to do.
Shower time. Cheers.
