god plays skee ball, therefore I am god
Once again, updating my own diary to compensate for the complete dead-ness of all the others. Grr. No, really, it's more because I have nothing else to do, no life to speak of, and the amazing and always useful ability to prattle on for hours about nothing. So here we go, then. Please keep your hands and feet inside the diary at all times. Any negligence on your part isn't my problem, so if you get your little toe bitten off by one of the rabid polecats that live around here, well, sucks to be you.
My interview went well. I guess. It's always hard to tell people why I quit Friendly's. I have to make up some bullshit because the real reason wouldn't win me any jobs; I quit because I hate people, I hated being their table wench, and I really didn't (still don't) care what they want. But if I were to give that explanation to a potential employer, I'd probably be shooed out the door before I could finish the sentence. "Sorry, but intensely antisocial really isn't the environment we're going for here." Luckily, I managed to BS my way through that fairly well. I think I'm going to get the job. He said he'd call tomorrow, but he'll most likely have to leave a message because I won't be home much tomorrow. I have to go the doctor at 2, and then pick up Adam sometime after that for the concert. That is, if he still wants to take me. Erg. I guess I'll find out later.
After our interviews, Joe and I went to the colonial park mall to see a two-dollar movie. However, there weren't any good ones playing until after 7, so we stopped into the arcade instead. It was great fun. We played lots of skee ball and two games of air hockey. I lost both games because Joe was playing full-body tackle air hockey or something - he had his entire upper body on the table, and he hit the puck so hard that it nearly took off of my fingertips. We cashed in our tickets (I had 45) for various fun prizes. I got two tootsie rolls, two cream soda dum dum's, and a lemon-scented pencil (!!!). It was a great fun.
And now I am home. My dinner consisted of a bagel with peanut butter on it. Not the most diet-esque thing in the kitchen, but I really need to start eating more, so it worked. My calorie intake has been almost dangerously low for the last week, and that's no good at all. This thing with Adam has completely killed my appetite over the last few days, but I don't know what the cause has been otherwise. I suppose I shouldn't complain, though. Eating too little is better than eating too much when you're trying to rid yourself of excess fat.
All right. I'm going to go... do something. I don't know what. Probably putz around online. Such fun. Cheers.
