the circus scares me anyway
The weather couldn't make up its mind today. It would rain for a few minutes, then be sunny, then the wind would pick up all hurricane-like, then it would die down for a while, then more rain... basically: Lather, rinse, repeat. Something like that. Thankfully, it was rain-free on both of my walks - but still windy as a mofo. It was so strong that I was getting blown around the sidewalk - and I'm not really light enough to be blown around. So you know.
There was a PETA protest in Harrisburg today; right outside of Bagel Lovers, actually. It had nothing to do with us, though. It was protesting the Barnum & Bailey Circus' treatment of its animals. A supposedly naked woman, painted like a tiger, in a cage... that's all I could gather, as I wasn't allowed to go outside and investigate further (damn workplace obligations). She was arrested, of course. Cortez said that there have been similar protests in New York and Philly (I think by the same person, even), and she was arrested both times. Not unexpected, certainly. It drew lots of extra business into the store, in any case, which I guess is good. We were in the Patriot News today, too! How fun. Wanda and Stew are in the picture, along with Jo-Ann (the owner's wife).
I'm going over to Adam's in a few minutes; I think we'll rent a movie or something. Good times. Hopefully I can get together with Amanda tomorrow night, if she doesn't work. We shall see.
