ended 'cause better things have arrived
Fucking hell. I got gas on my way home, and it started to rain. I was going to go to the grocery store, but since it was all monsoon-esque out, I figured I'd just hold off until tomorrow. Then the rain stopped, and I hadn't driven far, so I turned around and went to Giant. It wasn't raining at all when I went in. When I came out, however, it was
pouring. I was almost washed away like a crunched soda can floating in gutter water. For serious. I twisted my grocery bags up so that the stuff wouldn't get wet and marched to my car like a brave little soldier. I like rain. I really do. But the thing is, I like it when I'm prepared for it. I enjoy frolicking in the rain when it's my choice to be doing so. Coming out of Giant and facing what appears to be an impenetrable wall of water between me and the dry oasis of my vehicle is entirely something else.
But anyway. Adam and I did various things today: Borders, Rita's, rented a movie. I got a book about the history of geisha, the author of which is escaping me at the moment. I went for the smaller gelati this time, but still felt a bit ill. We rented Happenstance, because Audrey Tautou is adorable and it looked like a fun movie. It was interesting... again, not something I'd jump to see again, but not bad. She's cute. I wish I could be that cute. Alas, I am not. I'm all hideous hunchbacked beast and stuff.
Adam's here! And dinner's done. So... bye.
