I knew the pirate ship was a bad idea.
Oy vey. Today was a bit of a fiasco. I went with Joe and his immediate family to Knoebel's Grove (sp? that looks right, though). We left Joe's at 8:30 this morning, planning to get there around 10, when the park opens. His mom decided to take a side trip to a grocery store in Duncannon and then to the Goodwill in someplace I've never been - Elizabethville, I believe. We finally got there around 11:30. We purchased $10 worth of tickets each, and set out. I made it through the spinning lily pad ride and the haunted house, but the pirate ship killed me. Yep, that's right. I made it through less than three rides before throwing up. I feel so bad for the people who had to clean the pirate ship up. I really do. And if I gave a shit what people thought of me, I'd probably be very embarrassed that everyone saw me puke... but as it stands, I don't care, so it's all good. It wasn't pretty, though. No, not pretty at all.
Note to self: You can't do amusement parks. Accept it.
Nothing much worth mentioning happened, other than that. I'm pretty near dirt poor now.We gave our extra ride tickets to some kids, because weren't going to use them. I'm quite sunburned, for me. I usually don't burn. I guess walking around outside for six hours without sunscreen will do that to you. We were late meeting up with the rest of the group (we went off by ourselves), so they decided to just leave us out in the middle of BFE. Nice, eh? Yeah. We found out way back pretty easily, though.
I wish I had more to write, but I'm feeling particularly uninspired right now. And to be honest, I'd rather go call Adam and talk to him than prattle on to my online diary. Perhaps later I'll be more in the mood for this.
Oh yeah. Our air conditioner is broken. Fucking sucks, man. It's hot as balls in here.
