of joy and bookish rapture
Today has been a very good day. One of those days when you feel so loved and so content that you just want it to go on forever, you never want to leave that frame of mind. But alas, my beloved boy is home now. Sad but inevitable. Baltimore was lots of fun and laughing, coveting and purchasing, and accidental consumption of egg whites via marshmallow fluff (blast!). I got Shakira's MTV UnPlugged performance on DVD for Joe's birthday, and some stuff for myself (of course): the "special edition" of
Dogma on DVD, a journal that I saw at Barnes & Noble a while ago and loved but haven't seen since, and three Happy Bunny pins. I also got something small for Amanda that's just too perfect. It makes me giggle with faux-lesbian glee. We had dinner at Rascal's when we got back, and then came to my house to watch
Dogma. Overall, one of the best days I've had in a long time.
Le happy girl in love sigh.
My stuff from Amazon.com came, also, so I've got books waiting for me in my room. CDs, too, but I've already listened to those. The books are like virgin territory, never leafed through. Exciting. As such, I'm going to cut this entry off - there's not much else to say, really - and go bury myself in the crisp, delightful pages. Ciao.
edited 11:34 p.m.Okay... just grrr. Read this. For fuck's sake, how am I supposed to have faith in humanity when people can do this shit? I bet they were all men, too. They should all have their dicks grilled like hot dogs. And then they should rot in jail until the end of eternity, being ass-raped by large black men every half hour. GRRR.
