my bathroom is not open for public viewing
GAH. I want to throttle Mason. Seriously, I want to wrap my hands around his throat and squeeze until he turns purple. Boy is just pissing me off to no end today. First he ate BOTH of my last two remaining brownies, and then he managed to break the blind in the bathroom. Actually break it, not just knock it down. So now the whole world can just look up and into our bathroom whenever they want. And since I refuse to pee in front of an audience, I'm holding it. It sucks. But Joe should be home soon, so I can scurry over there with my thighs clenched together and use his bathroom. Because that's what friends are for, you know. Letting you use their bathroom when yours has been turned into a free peep-show by your bumbling, ox-like brother.
On the other hand, the apartment-vieweing was fruitful. We looked at three places, two of which were absolute crapholes - seriously, they looked like whorehouses or crack dens or some shit. Dank, tiny little pits in which no human being should be forced to dwell. The second place we looked at, though, was fabulous. An actual bedroom, a living room, dining room, kitchen, and a little balcony thing out back. Very clean, nice little neighborhood. It's only about 3 blocks from the school, and really cheap, considering - $395 a month, I believe. (Amanda Leedy is cursing Philly rental rates about now, I'm sure.) I have the rental application and am all about getting it filled out NOW NOW NOW so I can actually get the place, but my mom won't be home until tomorrow night, so I won't be able to fax it to the guy until Wednesday. Which is too far away. I tried to call her, but she's not answering her cell. Thanks, Mom. I love you too.
So I'm excited about that, but really antsy as well. I want to get it done NOW. Not on Wednesday. NOW. But too bad for me, I guess.
Ooh, but on the OTHER bright side, I got the SciTech scholarship money. Three-thousand dollars, I believe; I'd check the PHEAA web site but it seems to be down at the moment. Hrm. More on that later, then.
Anyway, Joe just called. He's home, which means that I can go pee. Woo! Joe's bathroom, here I come.
