dreams made up for the banana king
Ah. I really need to get a book, because seeing "nothing" over there on the side for days on end has been driving me mad. When I don't have a book to read, I'm at a loss. Seriously. I sit and stare at the wall and eventually go to sleep instead of sending my mind off on a fantastic voyage through someone else's world. Yeah. I was such a Reading Rainbow kid.
I went over to Adam's tonight, to see the kitties and hang out and whatnot. His sister's cats are there, as a trial run of sorts. She and her fiance are moving to Hawaii after they get married, and due to the fact that Hawaii is extremely anal retentive about admitting "foreign" animals and requires an ungodly amount of shots and quarantines and implanted tracking chips, they can't take the cats. Boo. So they've been at Adam's mom's house for a bit, which is fun, because cats are fun. They're small and soft and they provide hours of entertainment. Yes. Anyway. We ended up going to Boscov's to get some perfume for his mom's birthday tomorrow (technically today), and from there we wandered to to candy section - death. Glorious, melty, chocolate orgasm of death, how I love thee. Let me count the ways. However, you're also responsible for a lot of the excess fat I'm carrying around, so I'm going to be loving you in very small portions from now on. Deal.
While at Boscov's, I also saw the best shoes ever. No jokes. I know exactly where I'm going shopping with my grandma next week, at least for shoes. I need them. They call to me with a seductive power stronger than that of any shoe I've ever encountered. Normally I'm not even much of a shoe person, but man. Fun sneakers get me every time. And these are more fun than anything, ever. Except the Pucca bag that I didn't win.
Yes, I'm still bitter. Very much so. I will be for a long time, too, because if there's one thing I'm good at it's holding grudges. Call me Grudge Master 38 plus 1. I will defeat any Minions of Forgiving and Forgetting that you should send after me by bashing in their skulls with my Halberd of Sulking Obstinance. And I will enjoy it.
Le sigh. I'm tired. So tired. I got up at 8 this morning to call off work, and I couldn't get back to sleep. I laid in bed for a while, but after a certain point you just have to figure to hell with it and start your day. My day consisted of playing Neverwinter Nights and... well, that's about it. So I'm not sure why I feel so exhausted. Hours of secluded geekiness may give me sore shoulder, but it shouldn't sap me of all my energy. But I guess being ill can make anything tiring.
Hmm. It's off to bed with me. Fare thee well.
edited 1:12 a.m. Oh yeah. Adam - Monday or Tuesday night we should go up to the top of Lamb's Gap Road and watch the meteors - it's supposed to be peak viewing time for some group of them. I forget the name. But it could be fun.
