enjoy its exquisite melon taste
Today has been a day of gatherings. Meghan's baby shower, my sister Molly's birthday/Labor Day cookout, and now I believe that Adam and I are going to be accompanying Joe, Joe, and possibly Amber to an observatory in Lewisberry where we'll get to look at Mars through a big telescope. It's pretty overcast tonight, though, so I don't know if it'll even be worth it to go. Joe's supposed to call and find out. Thus far, I know nothing.
I'm already slacking on schoolwork. It's bad. I need to get on top of these things, but there's just not enough TIME. This from someone who does absolutely nothing all day. Hrm. Okay, well maybe I'm just not interested enough. Is that better? I'm not interested enough to feel motivated, even though my classes really are fairly engaging. I just don't enjoy school, I guess. So sad.
My new haircut is still the cutest thing ever. I really need to be diligent about maintenance here, because I like it much better this way and I don't want to have that dead possum hanging off my head again. Must work on that.
Ho hum. What to say? My dog is stinky. He needs a bath. If I knew how to spin yarn, I would totally brush Rufus on a daily basis, collect his sheddings, and then spin them into yarn. Because he's the softest kitty ever, and anything made out of his hair would in turn be very comfy. I assume. Unfortunately, I can neither spin yarn nor brush The Ru without incurring the unholy wrath of Cat, complete with flying claws of fury and a devastating bite. So there will be no cat-hair garments in the foreseeable future, methinks.
Adam bought me MELON GUMMIES at the Korean store. They're gummies! That taste like melon! Fantastic. Kasugai MELON GUMMY (capitalization is theirs, not mine, although I heartily back this type of enthusiasm on the part of cute Asian marketing people) is my eternal love. They're shaped like hearts, and they come individually wrapped inside of a larger bag. The bag smells so strongly like melon that I want to strap it to my face and make my whole world smell like delicious melony goodness. I'll scan the individual gummy wrapper sometime, because I want to put the design and text onto a t-shirt at some point. I love the Korean store. It's my source for mouth-watering melon-flavored goodies, like gummies, hard candies, and the most delectable frozen treat ever, the melon popsicle. Mmmmmm. Okay, I have to stop. The drool is fast approaching.
I need to go find a phone. Also, Adam should be here by now. And here I thought I was the one suffering from chronic lateness.
Cheers.
