I'm glad you're on my side
The new Tori... rocks. Ahh. It was so worth trudging through the sleety nastiness. I got the special edition, too, with the map and the polaroids and the stickers and the little blue lizard. Weee! If you don't have it already, get it, dammit. I want to check out "Scarlet's Web," but it's not online yet, I don't think. Hrm.
In other news, my English paper is coming along nicely. I think I may be going into a little too much depth, though. And OOH! Guess what I got on my Statistics test? A freaking 88%! That's the highest score I've gotten on just about anything in that class. When I first got the test back, it said that I'd gotten a 37/58. I almost cried, no jokes. Then I realized that hey, something didn't look right, and I added up the scores and found that Dr. Lyons had gypped me out of 10 points. That bastard. He did the same thing to Adam, and like two other people. He also gave me only partial credit on a problem that I should have gotten complete credit for, so I brought both of these issues up after class and got my score raised by 12 points. So instead of a 67%, I got my deserved 88%. I was very happy after class, because hey, good grades in Statistics warrant celebration.
Adam and I just emailed the President of the college about the ducks in the Peace Garden. It's 33 degrees out, snowing, and the poor little ducks are outside! And one of the girls has been limping, so we finally decided to stop trying to figure out who to ask about it and just ask the person with the most authority. Hopefully I'll get a response. Otherwise I'm just going to start emailing people willy-nilly (heh) until someone gives me some damn answers.
You want to know what's funny? Every time I typed "ducks" up there, I really typed "fucks." I did it in the email, too - if Adam hadn't caught it, I probably would have emailed the President of the college a letter about the "fucks in the Peace Garden." And while that would have been a hoot, I don't think it would help my case much.
Anyway, I'm going to go watch Buffy for a while, and then start working on my paper again. And possibly scan some thing, too, if I feel like trekking to the lab in the fucking SNOW.
I hate winter.
