quoth the raven, "fuck, not again!"
Today we went with Joe and Joe to see the Edgar Allan Poe house in Baltimore. One word: tiny. Seriously, the stairways were like 18 inches wide, max. I'm 5'1'' and I had problems. Were people really so little back in the day that they wouldn't have had trouble with those things? Because that would just be weird. I'm not used to feeling like a giant, but whoa, did I ever.
It was really cool, though. They did a reading/performance of "The Telltale Heart," which was absolutely amazing. Two thumbs up to the actor - he totally sold it. The tiny dark room helped a little, too.
It was very Halloweeny. The only Halloweeny thing I've done all weekend, sadly. I wanted to dress up, but my only options were keggers or a thing at school tonight, and neither sounded too appealing. Kirsten, Cassie, and Deb went to the one on Friday and apparently it was even too much for them. Which means that I would have just curled up and died on the spot. Yeah... I'm not so much about the keggers. Surprise, surprise. And the thing at school tonight was trumped by the road trip to Baltimore. So sad.
After the Poe house we parted ways with Joe and Joe and went to Fell's Point, where I took more pictures and drooled over things at Sound Garden and had yummy cinnamon-Heath ice cream. Seriously, if you ever come across that stuff you should really try it. It rocks.
And now my compy is nine kinds of fucked up, because it is the devil's favorite vacation spot. And god tried to smite him while he was sipping mai tai's by the video card, apparently.
More later, when I'm less afraid this godawful machine might self-destruct at any moment.
