an afterlife in retail hell
Hello, diary. I know it seems like I've been neglecting you these past few days, but that's not the case. I've just been really busy. And not too chock full o' things to write about. Although in my defense, I did try to update THREE TIMES on Saturday. My computer has descended from Satanic Minion to Lesser Lord of Hades. It's less fun than ever.
Yesterday was about the worst day in recorded history. I'm not particularly religious, but I've decided that if there is a hell, and if I'm damned to it, I will be stuck working retail for all eternity. With no backup. And there'll be a huge line, and everyone will have big carts full of fake flowers and plastic garlands with glitter all over them, and none of it will tags... and the people will be rude and mean and the only thing that will come out of their mouths will be "Is this on sale?" or some variation thereof.
Ahem. Suddenly I'm strangely motivated to help old ladies across the street and go to church on Sundays. Except not really. I just hate retail with the greatest passion in existence. People who hate people should not work retail. And as I am a person who hates people, I in turn should not be working retail. But I do tonight. And again tomorrow night. And I'm going to have no time whatsoever to get my homework done, and I got another speeding ticket last night even though I seriously didn't think I was speeding, and I can't afford to pay it until the 21st but they want it by the 19th, and my chest will explode from stress. Kaboom. It would be such a relief.
I'll be spending tonight and tomorrow night at Adam's, so I shan't be around to update. Of course, I shan't really be spending much time with Adam either... he has class tonight, I work tonight, and I work tomorrow night. It's amazing how my life manages to just crappier and crappier all the time, even when I think it's hit rock bottom. It's stupendously sucktastic that way.
Anyway, I have to get ready for class. It's 32 degrees out - officially freezing here in PA. I believe a scarf and possibly a hat will be integral to today's wardrobe selection.
