numb-ass and other annoying things
listening to... Roadrunner cartoons.
reading... Me Talk Pretty One Day, by David Sedaris. 58 pages left.
feeling... incredibly sleepy.
Annoying Things:
-Numb-Ass, caused by sitting in a computer chair for too damn long.
-The attitude that bras seem to get late at night. It is, at this moment, trying to climb up my back, I'm guessing in order to strangle me.
-Realizing that your cd is over 25 minutes after it ended.
-Marvin the Martian when you are just not in the mood for Marvin the Martian.
-Having a scanner that is useless and defective. Granted, it makes a great footstool.
Blah. I don't even know why I'm writing this right now. I'm tired and kind of cranky and I really want to go to sleep, but for some reason I'm doing this anyway. I think I spend too much time online. My wrists hurt from rubbing against the desk, because I don't type the "correct way." You know, wrists up in the air, fingers spasming like the legs of a spider. I'm a cheater; I rest my wrists on the desk.
I'm going to hang out with Amanda (a friend, not myself) tomorrow afternoon. She's not going to school because she only has one class, so we were going to go to lunch, but I'm dead broke... so she's going to come over here, and we're going to play with my new cookbooks. *laughs* Yes. I have a cookbook fetish. I really do! I sit and read them like novels. I don't cook too much, but I suppose once I have a place of my own I'll do more of that. I don't know why, I just love them. They make me happy. I recently ordered three from amazon.com, and when they came it felt like Christmas. :) So I'm going to flip through those before I hit the sack, and see if I can find anything that doesn't require strange and unpronounceable ingredients. They're all vegetarian and/or vegan in nature, so you know, sometimes you get hit with things like agar-agar and arrowroot. I mean, yes, I can pronounce those, but I certainly don't have any on hand.
Okay. Numb-Ass is getting the best of me. It's becoming rather painful, so I think this would be a good time to hoist myself out of the chair and go to sleep. 'Night.
-Amanda
