hairy pretzels are no friends of mine
Hello, diary. I feel like I've been neglecting you lately, but I've just been busy. And tired. Also, I haven't really been able to think of a whole lot to write about.
I saw a truck full of pigs the other morning while driving to school. Lots of pink piggies with floppy triangle ears and wide button noses, probably on their way to be killed and sold as bacon. I cried, of course, because... well, I don't think I really need to explain. Vegetarian for 7 1/2 years running, after all. It was not a good start to my day.
I ended up having to borrow 60 bucks from Adam to pay my recent speeding ticket, so now I'm up to my eyeballs in soul-sucking guilt (and debt!). More than usual, even. I really do have guilt issues, I think, because I noticed tonight that I apologize for everything. Sometimes I just put out a blanket "I'm sorry" in case there were any transgressions that I missed. It's kind of pathetic, really, but there you have me in a nutshell.
I need a haircut in a desperate and urgent manner. It's getting bad. Also, I think I want to dye my hair darker again. I don't know why. My hair is just boring.
My right thumb has been hurting like all hell for the last three days. Just the left side of it, and just the top segment (or phalange, if you will). I don't know why, and I think that's really what's annoying me the most. I didn't smash it or crush it or stub it or poke it with anything. There's nothing lodged under my nail. There is no disturbance of the force, so what the hell? Although there was a disturbance this evening, actually, when I managed to ram the pointy end of a very sharp needle under the nail on the already sore side of my thumb while sewing something. There was blood and throbbing and now my thumb hurts even more than a digit with no actual injuries has the right to. And I wouldnt recommend doing that needle thing, because OW. Seriously. Especially when your thumb is already hurting like mad. It's like taking a punch to the broken ribs or something.
I had to get up at 8 a.m. this morning to wait for the electrician to come and fix all of our various and sundry electrical issues. It was horrendous. And guess what? I have to do it again tomorrow! Only I have to get up at 7:30 instead of 8, because I work at 10. Grrr. There is no fun in spending your entire Sunday selling rubber foliage and scrapbook sheets to rude middle-aged crafters who spend more on two or three things that I make in a day. Feh.
I just realized that I still have two frozen Krispy Kreme donuts languishing at the bottom of my freezer. D'oh. Frozen stuff doesn't mold, does it?
Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, I need to go to bed post haste. My eyes are all droopy and my neck seems to have turned into a weak and rubbery stem under the weight of my sleepy head - it's very unpleasant. I'll try to write sometime tomorrow, hopefully with more than a random recap of my very uneventful week. Ciao.
