oh, the suspense!
Okay, you know how I had a
Buffy trauma on Tuesday, when my local fucktard affiliate of UPN postponed the new episode for a re-run of the Martin Lawrence show? Well, Adam and I just finished watching it, and I would like to take a moment to express a few of my feelings:
1. NOOOO! Giles, duck! DUCK!!!
2. Buffy, dear, Spike isn't killing of his own volition. He got a soul for you! Show some freaking compassion.
3. Upside down and halfway to Happyland, eh, Anya? You're not a very good liar, dear. And dear GOD, for the love of both my eyesight and my sanity, change your shirt.
4. Dawn - tell the truth! (Not!)Joyce didn't tell you that she loved you, she said that Buffy won't choose you. Now you're going to be all suspicious and resentful for the rest of the season and no one will know WHY.
5. Black vampire girl? You're freakish looking. You needed a good staking.
Hrm... yes, that's about it for now. Adam was enthralled, which makes me happy. Soon he shall be just like me, hopelessly and happily obsessed. Mwahahaha! Amanda will be next, if I can get her to watch it. She refuses to even give it a chance because - get this - she's afraid she'll like it. What the fuck kind of logic is that, woman? It's great, you should like it. Stop being stubborn. I mean, jesus, you watch The Real World and Sorority Life. How much worse do you think you could possibly get?
My computer is being stupid, as per usual. Blasted machine. I think I'm taking it home with me over break, because that way I can get some work done (and amuse myself) between various Thanksgiving shindigs and hanging out with the gang. And watching Buffy. We mustn't forget Buffy, what with the 14 hour marathon that FX is airing. I wish I could get a schedule for it, but alas, the website seems to be keeping it a secret. Grrr. Note to self: get lots of blank tapes before Thanksgiving.
In non-Buffy-related news, Adam and I saw the new Harry Potter yesterday - weeee! It was spectacular; I want to see it again, immediately. Hopefully Amanda and I can see it sometime over break, because we must share the HP goodness. But seriously, all those spiders? Creepy. I shuddered. I've read the damn books about three times and I still shuddered. I guess there's just something about giant, computer animated spiders that induces violent shuddering, no matter how prepared you are for them.
This afternoon we (Adam and I) ventured to his mom's house in the big Harrisburg so that he could do laundry and such. We made lemon poppy seed muffins and played with the kitties - it was a good time, in all. We went to Mama's for dinner, where I procured the very last garlic twist of the evening. Mmm, garlic twist. But evening mmmier (heh) is the garlic twist's constant companion, the broccoli roll. It's orgasmic. I actually have to stop talking about it now or I may drool on the keyboard.
Hrm... what else to say? The weekend is almost over, to my great dismay. Why does it have to go so damn quickly? The weekdays crawl by like worms stuck in a puddle of glue, and yet the weekend just zips right by. Grrr. I really, really, really need to start my Anthro project. I must. But I probably won't, because I'm disgustingly unmotivated. Blah.
Well, that's all for me right now. Here's hoping that the next time I write, I'll have news of progress in the project department. 'Til then... cheers.
