gizmo the psycho cat gets friendly
It's snowing. Well, not anymore, but it was. Big fat snowflakes that didn't stick, thank god - my car is awful in the snow. Last year was the first time I'd ever driven in weather like that, and I ran into everything: curbs, median strips, a railroad post, and almost other cars (moving
and parked). You'd think the 35 tons of trash in my trunk and backseat would weigh it down a little bit, but apparently not.
My kitty was being cute today. The insane one, I mean. Gizmo came into my room and sat on my lap, and then fell asleep on me while I was playing with the Druid Animal Oracle that I bought the other day. She never does that - Tango is the one who likes to sit on people. Gizmo is such a freak; I swear she's schizophrenic. She was a farm cat, though, and she was picked on hardcore as a kitten, so I guess I can understand.
I'm waiting for Adam to call me - his parents are going away this weekend, so we're having a bit of a sleepover. My stuff is all packed up and ready, so now I'm just killing time. Oh, and his present came yesterday! It's about damn time. So he's going to just get that as an after-christmas christmas present. A Kwanza gift. You know.
Amanda and her boyfriend, Chris, are no more. He's been avoiding her lately, and when she finally talked to him he pulled some crap about not wanting a long distance relationship. I think it's just a cop out, because for one thing, she's not leaving for six months. When she does leave, she's only going to be in Philly. It's not like she's going to Somalia or something. He knew she was going to Temple before they started dating. It's not like he just suddenly became aware of it or anything. She's upset, of course, but if he's going to pull this shit I think she's well rid of him. If he's not even willing to give it try, then he obviously doesn't care that much. And in a way it's better that it's over now, because he probably would have broken it off when she left anyway.
She asked me what I would do if Adam did this... I don't want to think about that. I can't imagine Adam ever doing that; he doesn't seem the type. Maybe I'm just saying that because if he did break up with me, for whatever reason, I think I'd be irreparably damaged in every way. I'm thinking that even my cells would stop functioning correctly. Of course, once I got through the stages of disbelief, depression, and sadness, I'd probably go after him in a fit of deadly rage. I'd be a terrible ex-girlfriend, I think. I'm horribly jealous and possessive, and I can hold a grudge like you wouldn't believe.
