a disjointed retelling of the night's events
I have the potential to become such a video game nerd. Adam and I played Super Monkey Ball for 4 1/2 hours tonight. We almost beat the advanced levels! We were
thisclose, I tell you! But the last stage is a real bitch, and we ran out of lives. We did unlock all the mini games, though. I love Monkey Billiards. I wish real pool balls were transparent and had monkeys in them. It would be so much more fun.
It's really freaking cold in here. So cold that I'm wearing socks. I never wear socks. It's just something that I usually don't do. But alas, here I am, freezing my sock-covered feet off. I really should get some new socks, because if it ever gets around to snowing here I won't be able to wear my sandals anymore. According to all the forecasts, it's supposed to snow on Sunday and Monday. You know what I have to say to that? Yheeck. I don't want it to snow. I mean, a little snow would be fine, because it's nice and pretty and white, but too much will leave me stuck in my house. My car is horrible in the snow. Besides, as pretty as snow is when it's fresh, it's only a matter of time until it gets brown and slushy and gross. In all, not such a good deal from where I'm standing.
After our Super Monkey Ball marathon, Adam and I went to Borders in Harrisburg for tea. I settled myself down in the college guide section and flipped through a bunch of books. I checked out all the entries on Allegheny College, because I'm rather enamored with it at the moment. I looked for the Pennsylvania School of Art and Design, but there wasn't any information. Well, I did find out that PSA&D is in some way affiliated with Adam's school, but otherwise there was nothing. It's cool, though. I was really just looking for the sake of looking, not for any particular reason.
I just heard this tapping against the window, followed by a cat whine. I went to look outside, because I figured that one of the cats was fighting with something, and as soon as I opened the door Tango sauntered in. There was no catly conflict going on; she just wanted to come inside. My cats are very good at making their demands known.
All right, that's all for me tonight. I going to go turn up the thermostat and read for a while. I'm reading a book about animation that I bought a while ago, and it's interesting, but I really need something else. A book book, you know? Something with a plot. Something new. Being in Borders tonight made me twitch and drool.
