cats and weird roommate speculation
Gah, my poor head. It's been throbbing and aching and all those other nasty, pulsating things since about 9:30 this morning. I just took some aspirin, though, so hopefully it'll be gone before too long. Otherwise I may have to duct tape pillows around my head so as to block out both noise and the possibility of touching anything at all.
So yesterday was the 17th, which means that it was Adam and I's 26-month thing. We're goofy and sort of celebrate every month - it's fun. I'm all for it, because the fact that he still puts up with me after so long is very much something to celebrate and be grateful for. It also makes me question his sanity sometimes, but mostly I'm just glad for it. My package from Deep Discount DVD came yesterday, also, so Adam got his copy of The Goonies a bit early. It was supposed to be a birthday present, but I'm biologically incapable of having a present for someone and not giving it to them immediately. I also got him the complete Schoolhouse Rock DVD, which I gave him two days early, and a Homestar Runner t-shirt, which isn't here yet. Fun times, yo. Now I just have to figure out what to get him for his birthday.
The very best thing about yesterday, though, was seeing oodles of cats. While I was doing my assistant thing on Thursday, Dr. Pettice told me that there were going to be an Adopt-A-Thon at the Lebanon Plaza Mall this weekend. Adam and I went to the nearest mall, thinking that it was the right one - no cats. I was very disappointed. We eventually found the right one (since there are one, uh, two), though, and - aww! Kitties! I wanted to take them all home. There were these three little kittens in one cage that were just so adorable... little, fluffy balls of happiness. And one of the older cats and I had a moment. There were two orange kitties in a cage together, and I was like thisclose to the cage because I'm magnetically drawn to cats. The bigger, fluffier orange kitty, whose name was Taffy, poked her nose through the bars of the cage and rubbed it against mine and gave this little meow. Weee! Seriously, I was ready to grab her and take off. My dad would kick me out if I tried to bring home another cat, though, and I can't keep a cat here. Boo. But yeah, there was much cuteness to be seen and experienced. We might go back today, in case there are any new kitties to be had. Heh.
Hey, wow, Emily finally left. She's been in the room more than I usually am as of late, which is extremely annoying. I don't like to be here unless it's empty, and since it never is, I have to find elsewhere to be. Usually it's Adam's room, but if he's in class or something I'm confined to the lounge. Blah. I don't know what's going on with her - I think Goth Boy may have slept here last night, which is just way beyond suspicious. Justin is away this weekend, you see, and normally she goes with him. But this time she didn't. Maybe they're fighting or something... ack, why am I talking about this? I don't care about this. Moving on.
But since there is nothing to move on to, I'm going to go amuse myself in other ways. Perhaps by watching television, or working on my kindergarten-level art homework. Ciao.
