the many faces of pong
Just a quick update, as I'm just stopping into my room to email Joe before heading back up to Adam's room to play Nintendo and watch the Food Network.
Today has been chock full o' excitement, in the form of packing hijinks and penguin pong. Adam slept over last night, which was muy excellente, as usual. We woke up much too early, because he had to be at his mom's house around 11:30. Only he really didn't, but we didn't know that until way after we got up. So we got up, readied ourselves, and went out to his car. He drove me to my car, which, lo and behold, wouldn't start. Not only would it not start, but it refused to make any kind of noise whatsoever. It was totally silent, and I was, in turn, totally confused. Many people have told me that it's probably the battery, which makes no sense at all because I just got a new battery put in like six months ago. Stupid car.
I was very depressed and told Adam to take me back to the dorms, because I wanted to spend some quality time moping while he was at his mom's. However, his sister called his cell phone just as we were leaving the parking lot - she informed him that he didn't need to be there until 3-ish. She later called and told him to push the arrival time even further back, until 5 or so. As such, we went to lunch and then decided to go to my house and pack for a while. He's been such a huge help with all of this - I'm very grateful. We got most everything done, and my parents moved all the big stuff this evening. My mom is transferring the cats as I write this, because everyone is sleeping there tonight. I'm going to call in half an hour or so and get updates as to the kitties' progress and such.
After packing, we went to Adam's mom's house so that he could visit her and see how she's recovering from her surgery. I played penguin pong and soccer pong with Marty (his sister Meghan's husband) while Adam was doing his thing - it was interesting. Kind of gave me a headache, though. Then they fed us really yummy minestrone and gave us chocolate. They rock.
Eck. Emily and Goth Boy are here - fun. They're watching some very loud, very annoying movie. As usual. They ordered Chinese food, also, so the room smells absolutely horrid. It's suffocating. So much so, in fact, that I don't think I can hang around here any longer. Sorry.
Entry status: complete.
