I am the army of one
I'm incredibly parched. Like "I just spent three months wandering the desert and boy is my mouth dry" parched. And yes, I realize that you'd die if you went three months without water, but I feel that hyperbole is necessary to convey the sheer severity of my thirst. So as soon as I finish this entry, I'm off to the water fountain. ASAP, yo.
Emily is watching some competitive dating show - you know, where two chicks/two guys go on a date with one guy/one chick and whoever can whore themselves out most effectively in a TV-friendly manner wins. She's been here all night, and presumably all morning/afternoon as well. Oh, now it's The Simpsons. A good show that I would like to watch, but unfortunately I cannot because she's occupying the television and I refuse to associate with the girl in any way at all. Because I'm petty and childish like that. Sorry, it's the truth. The only association I want to have with Emily is the kind where my fist hits her face until it's bloody and unrecognizable. Her face, I mean. Not my fist.
*floats off into a violent fantasy world where annoying Hot Topic goths like Emily and Goth Boy are hung from the ceiling by their "threatening" six dollar plastic dog collars and beaten with splintered sticks until they burst open and spill candy all over the place like piatas*
Yeah, that would be great fun. I should so be in charge of the world. But to switch over to a less pleasant and, unfortunately, more realistic topic... it's Sunday. I hate Sundays, because they lead to Mondays, and Mondays lead to waking up early and going to class and things just generally sucking. Blah. Why must the weekend be so much shorter than the rest of the week? It's unfair, I tell you. And it's also yet another reason that I should be made leader of the free world - if I were in charge, things would be completely reversed. The work/school week would be Saturday and Sunday, and the "weekend," as it were, would span Monday through Friday.
See? Vote for me for LotFW (Leader of the Free World) in 2004.
Ah, anyway. Moving on. Adam and I went to visit his mom this afternoon, stopping along the way to pick up some cheerful, recovery-inducing balloons. We hung out there for a while, and then went to my new house to visit the kitties and see how they were adjusting. We located three of the four - Giles was missing in action, but I'm sure he was around someplace. Rufus was holding court in the hallway, Gizmo was perched on the stairs leading up to my room, and Tango was curled up amidst a huge stack of boxes. They seem to be doing pretty well, all things considered, but I'm sure they'll be more comfortable with the place once everything is unpacked and arranged. The neighbors' dog was running around in the backyard, which was cute. It's this really adorable black and white dog with big, floppy ears. Aww, I'm so excited to get a dog. Yay for dogs.
Well, I'm sort of running out of steam here, so I think the time has come to wrap this up. I'm going to go get a drink (finally) and then work on the stupid notify list code. Ciao.
