episode #793, in which I find god
It's 11:23 on a Wednesday night, and instead of finishing my English homework I'm sitting here, writing in my online diary. Why? I'll give you three guesses, and it's so freaking predictable that the first two don't count. Yeah - Emily and the Unwashed Avenger (a.k.a. Goth Boy, a.k.a. Brian <--- his real name) are watching obnoxious dating shows and making the room smell like Chinese food left to rot in the sun.
[begin deadpan, Daria-voiced sarcasm]
Thanks be to god for blessing me with such a pleasant, loveable roommate. I have realized the true path, and will forever more walk in the light of the lord. I will look back on my days as a doubting infidel with shame and horror, and self-flagellate to repent for my laundry-list of sins. My faith has been restored, oh great and glorious father, and I owe it all to Emily and her Satan-loving yet somehow holy new ex-boyfriend.
[/end deadpan, Daria-voiced sarcasm]
Ahem. I'm feeling a little bitter, yes. Angel was really good tonight - David Boreanaz is so much better at being evil than he is at playing the broody, shmuck-with-a-soul guy. And Cordy? Evil? Yeah, I knew you were. But like I said, I don't like evil people unless they're entertaining, and you're not amusing me in the least. I liked Lilah. She was bitchy and sarcastic and she made fun of Fred. And now you had to go and stabbed her in the neck with a big, scary knife because you're oooooh, EVIL. Whatever. I've said it many times in the past, and I'm sure I'll say it again sometime very soon - you were so much more fun on Buffy. Le sigh.
But other than once again being very sad about what has become of Cordelia, I enjoyed it immensely. It's been a good week for Mutant Enemy (the production company for both Buffy and Angel). Too bad the next new episode is three weeks away. Grr! Argh! But it's compensated by the arrival of Faith, who I love to bits and pieces. That girl wears leather like no one else.
Anyway... Goth Boy just left, so I should finish my English crap and then retreat to sleepy land. 8 o' clock class and all - very unpleasant.
'Night.
