bloody bloodiness
Erg. My period started last night. Lovely, as always. According to various pseudo-feminist manifestos (pseudo because I do not claim to be a feminist of any particular significance, and thus have only read pseudo-feminist things), I'm supposed to embrace menstruation, enjoy it as a symbol of a woman's power. Bullshit. There is nothing empowering, to me, about a bleeding vagina. Nor about cramps, or mood swings, or the dreaded PMS bloat. The only thing I want to embrace during my period is a very big chocolate bar.
So there. I seriously think that the whole birth control/pregnancy thing should be reversed. Instead of taking birth control to prevent pregnancy, I think that everyone should be... sterile, in a way, and have to take a set of pills to become pregnant. I'm sure they could figure out a way to fix it like that. Of course, it wouldn't be allowed, because gangs of angry Mormons would storm Congress and demand that their right to have 438 children by simply neglecting to wear a condom is being violated. And oh dear, we can't have that.
Ah... yeah. Random. Anyway. I'm going to Adam's in a while, to hang out and have lunch and what not. He came over last night, and we just putzed around in my room for a few hours. It was fun. He brought me lots of John Mayer trinkets, courtesy of his friend Jesus (heh) - a pack of matches with the little boy head logo on the front, a sticker with the same logo, 2 stickers that look like the album cover, and 2 stickers with just his name and the name of the album. Woo! Things. I love things. Especially sticky things with pictures/words relating to musicians that I like.
Ow. The corner of my right eye hurts. I think I've been rubbing at it too much, because it stings like mofo. Boo.
I must go find something decent to wear.
