[insert meaningful lyric here]
It's cold in here. Very, very cold. So cold that I, the person who last touched the thermostat, am sitting in jeans and a long-sleeved shirt here freezing my ass off. It was perfect when I was sitting on my bed, so I don't know what happened to make it like 7,000 degrees colder a few feet across the room. Weird.
Adam and I just finished up a marathon Zelda session, and oh, my legs are cramped. I was sitting indian-style for the duration, you see, and though I appear to be young and somewhat limber my joints don't always play by the same rules as the rest of my body. Especially when I force them into tight Vs for hours on end, leaving them stranded with no hope of a stretch. So sad. We did get six of the eight Triforce maps and three of the eight actual Triforce pieces, though, so it was a productive gaming session.
Ahem. Yeah, huge dork talking here. It's fun, I tell you! FUN! Don't judge me for my extremely nerdy preferences. It's not nice.
Nothing else of much interest happened today, save for some progress on the Gryffindor scarf (stripe #4 is currently in progress) and a disturbing dream involving Christina Ricci, Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn from Buffy for the uninformed), a classroom full of people, and a red Care Bear. Do not ask.
Onward, secular soldier, to the Friday Five...
1. How many houses/apartments have you lived in throughout your life?
Er... six, so far as I can remember.
2. Which was your favorite and why?
Either the house on Avendale Terrace or my aunt's house, where we lived for a while when I was a kid (first and second grade). Avendale Terrace had a pool, my favorite dog (Sheba the Siberian Husky), and great sledding hills. My aunt's house had a little mom and pop store across the street, a very nice golden retriever, and my very cool Aunt Christine, who has since very sadly passed away.
3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?
I like the idea of moving, but actually doing it is a gigantic pain in my ass. So the latter, obviously.
4. What's more important, location or price?
Location, if you can afford to be picky. However, when it comes time for me to get my first apartment, price will be the deciding factor. Because I am dirt poor. It sucks.
5. What features does your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)?
I want a medium-sized, wooden A-frame house with a fireplace, enough rooms so that I can have one just for craft and art stuff, and lots of land for the keeping of horses and llamas and things. Otherwise my standards are not exacting.
