man in red suit with dog... huh?
Oooh, it's so nice out today. 71 degrees! Can you believe it? It stormed like a mofo yesterday, and it's been raining pretty much constantly for the last few days. However, thanks to all the rain, everything is now moist and green and lovely. Woo! I'm definitely definitely definitely going back on the trail today. After I take a shower, of course, because we can't have any woodland sprites or squirrels (heh) seeing me all rumpled and morning-greasy.
I want to take my "discman" back with me, but I'm all paranoid about someone sneaking up behind me and slicing me to bits because I can't hear the footsteps and the menacing laugh. Going back there alone sort of freaks me out to begin with, but I do it anyway because it's pretty and I like it and no one is here to go with me. It's just strange because sometimes I think I see things but I really don't. Or at least, when I get to where they should be, they're not there. Like the other day I thought I saw a man wearing a bright red jogging suit walking toward me. He had a dog with him. He was wearing a hat. He was old, and had glasses. But I never passed him. I thought, okay, maybe he was walking the other way. So I hurried up a little bit to see if I could catch another glimpse of him. Nope. Then I started to get nervous, because the excessively paranoid portion of my brain went into overdrive, suggesting that perhaps he was hiding among the trees, waiting to jump out and kidnap me and feed me to his dog.
Yes, that is what was running through my head. Shut up. But that didn't happen either, obviously. I just have a very hard time believing that this man who was wearing bright red and walking a dog was completely a figment of my imagination. I mean, if he had been wearing green or brown or some woodsy color like that, sure, but bright red? Nah.
Boo. *pouts* No new email. Not even from Adam, who promised that he'd send me one this morning. Grrar. So sad. No one loves me.
Mason is drawing my feet. How exciting, neh? So I'm going to... sit here and have my feet drawn... and then take a shower. Huzzah.
