crackhead weather and Black Hawk Down
Oh, Angel. You always bring me such joy. And is it just me, or does Angel seem longer than Buffy? As in fewer commercial breaks? UPN is a poohead. But yes, Angel was very good tonight, as usual. It's good to see everyone back on the side of good. Well, everyone but Conner. And the rest of the world. You know what I mean.
Or maybe you don't watch Angel. In which case you would either be bored or confused right now. I'm so sad for you people.
The baby animal picture taking was postponed, because Adam and I were both really beat today. Also, it was almost uncomfortably hot out. Since when is 84 degrees springtime? That's summer, and IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SUMMER YET. The forecast for tomorrow: high of 47 with a chance of drizzle. What the fuck? Someone please explain to me why the weather has suddenly started popping magic mushrooms like Pez, because it's really pissing me off.
But on the bright side, if it's chilly this weekend then I'll get to wear my scarf. Which is very nearly finished. I'm finishing up stripe 19, in fact. Exciting. I need to knit the last two stripes, weave in the ends, wash it, block it, and add the fringe - then I'm all set. There will be much glee and a very warm neck, I'm sure.
Adam and I watched Black Hawk Down tonight for his war class... it was interesting. Not as bad or boring as I was expecting (I'm not much for the war movies), but also not as disturbing as it probably should have been. I mean, yeah, gory, but I'm somewhat immune to graphic depictions of human suffering. Mostly because I spend countless hours creating my own such imaginary scenes involving people that I dislike. I could sit here and wonder if this makes me a bad person, but I've long since stopped caring. I am what I am, after all.
Tomorrow I get to go home. Happiness. I'm not looking forward to the packing and moving and shit, though, especially when I'm only going to be home for four days. I'm going to try to travel light - computer (always a necessity), clothes, bed stuff, bath stuff, and various entertaining things (CDs, DVDs, etc). It shouldn't be as bad as spring break. I hope. But in any case, there is one thing that I'll be doing as soon as I arrive home. Can you guess what it is?
Making burritos! Mmm.
Anyway... I'm getting sleepy. Bedtime soon. I'll update tomorrow before I head home.
Ciao.
