the swiss family turtleson
Man, tomorrow is going to be packed. I have to get up, go for my jog, shower and get ready, hopefully go shopping for a few bits of summer apparel, pick up my grandma, go to Mason's birthday party, take my grandma home, go back to my house to pack for a 2-night stay at Adam's, go to his house, and then draw him twice for my stupid homework. And then hopefully there will be sex, and sleep, and all will be well. But up until then, well, I am really not looking forward to the fullness of tomorrow.
Today was productive as well, but in a more relaxed manner. Adam and I went and FINALLY cleaned the broken glass out of my car; we did the whole shebang, with the vacuuming and cleaning up the trash and washing the windows and putting oil in and everything. And I put my PCA&D cling on the back windshield, which makes the whole thing kind of official. I've never put a college name cling/sticker on my car before. I just never had the desire to. But I'm going into this optimistically, for the most part, so I'm glad I put it on. It's fun.
We went to Wildwood in the afternoon, which was absolutely lovely. The weather was perfect, it wasn't very crowded, and there were animals everywhere. About a dozen egrets spread out throughout the central lake, and then turtles everywhere in the smaller creek. There was one log with NINE turtles on it. It was like a whole little family of turtles, with big ones and medium-sized ones and then a few wee tiny babies. We saw turtle eggs as well - broken. I wanted to take one with me, but when we passed that area on the way back to the car I couldn't find them. Boo. It would have been neat to have an actual turtle egg. Sans turtle, of course.
Gah. I meant to write more, but I got terribly distracted... and now it's time for bed. Alas. I really need to sit down and write a real entry sometime.
'Night.
