June 13, 2003 :: 10:02 a.m.
ah, the smell of presents in the morning...
When I came home this morning, there was an air conditioner and a TV sitting in the hallway, waiting for me. Air conditioner! TV! And my mom actually just went to exchange the TV for a larger one, because she thought that the one my dad picked out was too small. If a certain bookstore that shall remain nameless (*cough*Borders*cough*) would call and offer me a job and then Adam decided to sleep over here tonight, it would be my ultimate jackpot day. But even so, it's 10 a.m. and I've already been gifted with two new (and much needed) appliances. Excellent.
I need to call my high school and ask them to send a transcript to HACC. For some reason, it's making me all nervous. Dunno why.
Adam and I went up to Annville yesterday to visit Dr. Pettice and have dinner at Mama's. It stormed like a mofo once we got there, with the torrential rain and glassware-shaking thunder and everything. We got to meet her kitties and her husband and son, which was cool. Her cats are too adorable, especially the new kitten. We ended up stayed at their house too long and missing out on Mama's - talk about a huge disappointment. I didn't know it was possible to be so depressed about pizza, but trust me, it is.
Keeping in touch with a professor is weird. Not weird in a bad way... just sort of strange. I mean, I don't even go to Lebanon Valley anymore, but she and I have been emailing back and forth pretty regularly. She's an awesome lady, though, so I guess the "hey, I'm glad I get to know this person" factor outweighs the weird.
Fucking AOL. I've been kicked off about six times in the last hour. Note to self: find head of AOL corporation and strangle them to death with your dysfunctional phone cord.
Anyhow, I'm off to call CV and get this transcript thing done. And then I'll probably cuddle up to Illustrator for a while, before it dies on me. *sniff* Ciao.
