no, I haven't seen your tube socks
It's raining pretty hard. All of the kitties got a bit wet, so they're sitting around, grooming themselves. It's way too cute. I'm surprised that Gizmo isn't freaking out about the thunder. I mean, she's afraid of just about everything, so one would think that thunder, being quite loud, would bother her. But no, apparently not, because she's licking her stomach like it's just another normal afternoon.
I feel bad for the little gray cat, though. I wish we could bring him inside, but my dad would have a fit. Not to mention how the cats would react. Tango might be okay with it, but Gizmo would probably devise a way to get into the cleaning chemicals and kill herself. And Rufus doesn't like him too much; I think it's a male territorial thing.
Anyway. I went with my mom to get the van from the mechanic in Grantville. We had to go to UPS and ship some stuff for my dad, and then drop the van off at yet another mechanic (some transmission guy) who operates out of yet another little town in the middle of nowhere. Why does my dad go to these guys? It's such a pain in the ass to drive all the way out there, especially when you pass about 4 other transmission places along the way. Argh. But it had to be done, so we did it, and then we went to Barnes & Noble because I wanted to use my gift card. They didn't have the book I wanted, of course, because B&N sucks, so I got an Ani CD (Out of Range). That takes my Ani-count to 5 CDs... only 147 to go! Heh, not quite, but it's still a lot. Like 15 or something.
Mason's eating a Hot Pocket. Yick. But it does make me ponder my dinner choices. I could have veggie pizza, or a veggie burger, or some pasta, or oatmeal (not the microwaveable kind), or soup... ooh, I think I want soup. Yum. I haven't had soup in a long time. But what kind of soup? Broccoli potato stuff or vegetarian alphabet soup? Choices, choices. Oh yeah, I never made muffins. I was going to make chocolate chip muffins, but while gathering the ingredients I discovered that we don't have any chocolate chips. Bummer. Maybe if Mr. Invisible Supreme Being in the Sky (read: god) stops wringing his sweaty towels out over Mechanicsburg, I'll go to Giant and get muffin stuff. And other stuff, too, because I can't ever go into the grocery store without buying quite a bit of stuff.
Hmm, shall we see how many more times I can use the word stuff before the end of the entry?
