life, liberty, and the pursuit of Jaw Breakers
Today has been a lukewarm day. A day of almost perfects and nearly enoughs. Two of my packages came - the other is stuck in some purgatory at UPS. I got the spray paint for the disk drive face plates, but it's a few shades off. I went to the grocery store and got lots of good-for-me food; the downside is that now I've got $27 to my name. I spent $81 on food. I can't believe it, really. Why is healthy food so much more expensive than junk? Seriously, that's why everyone's so fat. No one can afford vegetables. Food should be priced according to calorie/fat content. A head of lettuce would be five cents and a cheesecake would be like five thousand dollars. Well maybe not quite that much, but you know what I mean. We'd all be so much thinner.
So I'm thinking that tomorrow will start what I'll refer to as my Week o' Vegan Adventure (WoVA). It's a Tuesday - a rather unevetful day, unlike party Fridays of "Please, god, don't make me go back to work" Mondays. A good day to begin a trial lifestyle change, and so I shall, now that I've stocked up on goodies. I bought a pint of Tofutti "ice cream," and it's pretty decent. Again with the developing a taste for it thing. I got my dad to try it by saying, "Hey Dad, try this," and not telling him what it was. He hated it, of course, but that was to be expected. I just wanted to get some in his mouth, because he's generally disdainful toward anything I eat, especially anything sounding remotely like tofu. But now he's eaten it, so HA.
I have to go to the doctor tomorrow and most likely get put on antibiotics. Woo. I'm not exactly all gung ho about letting Dr. Kunkle all up on my thigh and stuff, but hey. When ticks attack, we do what we must.
I've been writing this for nearly and hour now. Hmm. I know I had more to say than this, thought I suppose I could be deluding myself. I'm going to dinner someplace with the family unit and my grandma tomorrow night for my birthday. I hoping there's some "gift of cash" involved, because I think Adam and I are going to Baltimore on Wednesday and as it stands I could barely cover the gas to get there. Suck. But in all likelihood I'll be re-stocked tomorrow, 'cause my grandma tends to do that on her grandchildrens' birthdays. So that's something to look forward to. And with luck, my final computer-related package will arrive and the beast can be completed. After the painting of the face plates, of course, but that irrelevant. That can be done any time. A computer without a floppy drive would just look goofy.
All right, well, this entry is long past its expiration date. 'Night.
