confessions of a gloss whore
I have to get up in six hours and the prospect of actually doing it hurts me. But alas. My mom and I went to Polyclinic this morning to try and get my meningitis vaccine taken care of, but I have to go back tomorrow morning (well, this morning, really) because we didn't have an appointment. The reason that we didn't have an appointment is because they told my mom on the phone that we didn't need one. Liars. I had myself all geared up and ready to be stuck, and dammit, I don't know if I can get there again. Grr. I'm all scared now. My mom is being evil and sending me off to be stabbed by the evil needle of death all by myself, which is just horrifying. Adam's being his usual wonderfully sweet self and coming with me for "moral support." Because I'm a chicken. Amanda likes to make fun of me because I've had my tongue, nose, and ears pierced and I'm still afraid of vaccines.
Sorry, I've just got some issues.
Adam and I did lots of things today. Mailed my computer stuff back to the company, saw Hey Arnold!, went out to dinner, went to Barnes & Nobles. I had fun. I always do. I luff him. *grins* After I took him home I went to Amanda's, and we went to the grocery store (woo!) and spent way too much time salivating over lip products in the make-up aisle. I got this fun reddish gloss in a clicky tube - it's exciting. She bought it for me, because I'm poor and she's very not. I usually don't feel right letting people buy me things, but when she points out that she's made [insert exorbitant amount of money here] in the last two days, my arguments just don't hold up.
And now I'm home. That was my day. Interesting, no? Heh. Maybe tomorrow will be a similar action-packed adventure, only this time a zebra, a broom, and a pair of rubber boots will replace the missed vaccine, the dinner at Friendly's, and the trip to B&N. Hey, it could happen.
Oh! I got Green Day's new CD. I'm so far behind that I didn't even know they had a new one out until I stumbled upon it by accident at the bookstore. I nearly had a coronary, honest. It's quite good, in any case. Makes me pine for my stolen CD collection. Again. For the 954 thousandth time. Gah! I swear to god, if I knew who took them... terrible pain of a sort never before seen by humankind would be unleashed upon their wretched soul. Adam knows what I mean. I told him my plans in the car. Lots of testicular cutting and squishing and deep frying. You know, the usual.
