you can turn dust into champagne
Today was spent getting a shot and cleaning my room. Sounds dreadful, doesn't it? But no! It was a great time, actually. I picked Adam up this morning and we went to the hospital to get my meningitis vaccine over with. It was less traumatic than I'd feared, of course. It always is. The thing that freaks me out isn't the pain, because really, shots don't hurt that much... I guess it's the whole, "eek, something's being injected into my bloodstream" deal. Adam got me some ice cream before hand to encourage a "brave little soldier" countenance, though, so it all worked out. Ice cream is the best courage booster, I think. Especially ice cream of the luscious coconut variety.
After that fun poke in the arm, we came back to my house and *dun dun duuun* started cleaning. It went well. It's pretty much done, in fact, with the exception of putting clothes away, doing laundry, vacuuming, and organizing my desk/dresser. That seems like a long list, but it's really not. Not compared to what I had to do before this afternoon, which was basically sifting through a huge pile of trash. It was made much more pleasant with the help of my dear boy, though. Everything is. He's magic like that.
In other news, I got my roommate assignment today. I'm in Funkhouser East #105 (same building as Adam - fun!), and I'll be living with someone by the name of Emily Malloch. She's from New York. That's all I know. I'm just glad her name's not Bambi McFluffkins or something. I would've had to scream really loudly if that were the case.
Hmm. Not too much else to say, I 'spose. Amanda's Brian from NY is at her house right now, which is exciting. Not so much for me, but definitely for her, and when my faux-lesbian is excited, well, so I am. Mason's watching the perverse nerd porn channel (otherwise known as G4, the gaming channel) he stumbled upon the other day. I'm listening to Tori. All is well.
Cheers.
