there's no place like someplace with a faster connection than home
I'm updating from Adam's house, courtesy of his very enviably fast DSL connection. He's at work, so I'm just hanging out here until it's time to pick him up. I brought over a knitting project to work on, but alas, I was distracted by the endless sea of information and resources that is The Internet. I haven't actually
learned anything in the strictest sense, but I have had my brain filled with all sorts of enterprising ideas that will never, ever come to fruition because I lack the three key ingredients that make these things work: money, talent, and motivation. I could probably fake or gain #2, but money and motivation are considerably harder to come by.
Today, being the 6th, is the day that my tuition is due. My comparatively minimal tuition. LVC was $27,000+ per year; HACC is under $2,000. That being said, I really don't see why my mom is being so fucking unreasonable about PAYING IT. The invoice was still sitting on the kitchen table this morning, just as it has been for the last three weeks. I haven't asked her yet whether she's done anything with it, and taking into consideration the extremely depressing lack of contact that I have with my parents, it's possible that I won't actually get to. So I don't know what's going on there. It's very annoying to not know whether I'll be heading back to school in 19 days or not. These are really the sorts of things that people like to be aware of, you know? Yeah.
Well, it's time for me to get into my care, also known as The Giant Roasting Pan or The Boiling Pit of Hellfire, and drive the very short distance to Adam's workplace. I don't know what we're doing tonight... probably just lounging around here. Possibly returning a telephone. I get to sleep over again, I think, which is a cause for a little internal celebration. If my internal could make cupcakes and throw confetti, I'd be all set.
Ciao.
