do you know where your seasons are?
Hello, October. I'd say it's incredibly nice to see you again, but then we both know that's a lie. I mean, I like fall, don't get me wrong. I like flame-colored leaves and crisp weather and that pumpkin pie smell as much as the next guy, but... it just seems like fall gets shorter and shorter every year. I seem to recall, albeit dimly, a time when Pennsylvania had, oh, FOUR seasons instead of two really long seasons and then like a week of transitional weather in between. It's like summer and winter have beaten down the less hardy fall and spring with some shiny new shovels and are burying the poor, helpless sods in the backyard as we speak. It's fairly disturbing, if you ask me. It's 47 degrees right now. I'm going to have to start wearing a coat soon, when just last week or so I was wishing that the air conditioner in my car worked better. Grumble grumble.
So, today. I hauled my ass out of bed for Drawing despite my intense desire to sleep through it, which I think should earn me a cookie or something. Because god, that class... it hurts me. It makes me hate art forever. And this woman has the most fucked up grading system ever. When I handed in my subtractive drawing homework, she told me that it was technically very well done, but that she didn't approve of my choice of subject matter. What did I draw? A gourd and a coffee cup that are hanging from some hook thing on our back porch. After all of her insistence that I try to find "ready-mades" to draw, she tells me that the one "ready-made" that I finally do draw is too bizarre. And so I get a B+. Whoop-de-fucking-DOO, lady. Remind me to bake you that special arsenic-laced "Thank You!" cupcake sometime soon.
HACC's website is fucking useless after like 10 o' clock at night. I'm trying to see about spring semester classes, but I just keep getting errors. Blah.
It's 1:17 now - past my bedtime. Supposedly. And I am tired, so off to bed with me, I guess. I have to draw 20 things for 3D tomorrow... er, sort of forgot about that. Hopefully it won't take too long. Either that or they'll just be very bad little drawings. Whichever.
Ciao.
