the coming events of my busy busy weekend
I have a job interview in two and a half hours. At the fabric store. Finally. Barring any scheduling issues or unkind acts of god, I think I should get it. I have prior experience on my side, and of course the fact that I'm a veritable font of crafty information makes me extra valuable.
Or, uh, something like that.
After that I'm meeting everyone at school, where Hannah will proceed to shuttle us all off to York for some gallery thing that I know nothing about but am attending anyway. And then it's slumber party time. Complete with strawberry daquiris and makeovers, no doubt. It should be fun times, except for the part where we have to either wake up at like 4:30 in the morning or just forgo sleep entirely so that we make it to school in time to get on the bus to New York. I'd imagine the latter is what will end up happening, but the idea of dragging my fat ass around NY all day on the 3 hours of sleep I may or may not be able to catch on the bus ride up isn't really that appealing. But we shall see. I get to wear a skirt and heels tonight, and that's exciting enough to keep me optimistic.
Saturday Adam and I are going to see Rilo Kiley play in Philly. The show isn't until 8, but we're going down early to visit Amanda, who I have not seen in like 12,000 years.
Sunday I have to head home for a bit, where my expertise in the area of animal care is required. Meaning that my mom is going away for the weekend and Mason is going to Adam's (brother, of course) on Saturday and sleeping over, so there won't be anyone around to feed the kitties on Sunday. That's where I come in. Because no one opens a can of catfood or scoops a litter box better than yours truly.
You know, it's weird. Even 4 months later, I still kind of expect to see Giles curled up on the sofa when I walk into the house.
Gah. Must stop writing about my dear departed kitty. Just thinking about it still makes me all teary and sad.
Anyway, I'm going to go work on some things until it's time to leave for my interview. Wish me employment.
