FridayAll-school trip to NYC. Except it wasn't really "all-school" since Hannah was a bi-atch and didn't come. But that's okay, 'cause the rest of us had good times anyway. We spent most of our day shopping. Canal Street was awesome for about 45 minutes and then I needed to go quickly to someplace that was else. I got a hot watch (as in awesome, not stolen), though, so it all worked out. I don't know what it is about watches, man. I was running around like a toddler on speed, fondling all the sweet, sweet timepieces. I wanted them so bad. But Cassie kept pulling me away, because she's my financial manager and knows that I am poor and cannot afford more than one watch in any given, oh, year. It was slightly annoying at the time, but I was grateful afterward when I had money for dinner.
Cassie rocks.
New York is not my most favorite place, but it's nice to visit sometimes. Like once a year, max. I'm so not a city girl. I felt like I was going to be swallowed up by all the people and the enormity of it all. Scary scary. Also, that stupid city is insanely expensive. I'm surprised there isn't an oxygen inhalation charge. We stopped off at a cafe for drinks and spent over 14 bucks on two iced teas and two lemonades. WTF? Seriously.
Anyway, here is a picture of Justin, Kirsten, Cassie, and I in NY. Kirsten is wearing the pink scarf, Cassie has a fetus around her neck and is wearing a foam statue of liberty crown, I'm in the middle wearing blue, and Justin is, of course, the guy. It's a decent picture of me, except that my nose looks fucking enormous from that angle. Deb isn't present because she was off with her new not-boyfriend, DiGiorno (obviously not his actual name).
Saturday
Two words: Rilo Kiley! They're fucking awesome live. It was an extremely enjoyable show for the most part, except for when this horde of tacky girls in head to toe 80's-wear shoved themselves in front of us and thus limited my field of vision to the back of their giant hair. Gotta love that. Also, I am a huge bitch at concerts. Seriously. I fucking hate the whole experience, save for the small part when the band I came to see is on stage. Then I love it. And RK is exceptional, I must say. I'll see them many, many more times if I get my way. But next time I'll bring stilts or a booster seat or some shit, because seriously? The contents of your can of Aqua-Net is not what I came to see, bitch.
Before the show we visited Amanda. Her friend Beth gave me a giant stuffed panda, which I have named Tofu and love so much that my spleen may well explode.
Sunday
Went home to Dauphin to check up on the kitties. Gave them some wet food and re-filled the bowls of dry, gave them fresh water, scooped the litter boxes, etc. Rufus was curled up in the sink and appears to have a boo boo on his enormous, fluffy head. Amelia is cute as hell and so soft and fuzzy and playful. Tango ate and then tried to crawl into a hole in Mason's floor. Lovely. Gizmo is still missing. I'm very worried about her, but at the same time slightly mystified. Dauphin is a town with, like three streets. None are very long. How is she lost? Seriously. But she is, I guess, and that makes me sad.
Checked up on Pat's cats as well, and then went over to Adam's dad's house to see Samson and get a tour of the new digs. They recently redid the whole first floor - new kitchen, new furniture, paint job, everything. It looks fantastic. Adam gave Sam a beggin' strip, which he proceeded to take and bury on the little grass island in the middle of their circle street thing. It was too cute.
Dinner at Passage to India. There are not enough yums in the world. Neither Cassie nor Kirsten has ever had Indian food (dude, wtf? I know!), so I am definitely going to take them there sometime soon. Because a life without Indian food is like a life without sunshine. Or your masturbating hand, whichever.
Came home. Went to Starbucks with Cassie and then came back here and watched Joan. Good times.
In conclusion, I need to go to sleep. End.
