Eck. I should not be up right now. Adam had to get up at like 6:30 and take his car to get fixed, and after he left I just couldn't go back to sleep. So I've been up for about 3 hours. Watching TV, unshowered, in my bathrobe. Ye gods.
Last night was enjoyable, though. We went to dinner at The Olive Garden, hung out at Borders for a while, and then saw Red Dragon at Hoyt's. I need to commission a poor scientist to make me some kind of personal space bubble. One that electrocutes unauthorized intruders. Like the stupid people who decided that even though there were like 5 empty seats at the end of the row, they were going to sit down right the fuck next to me. And one of the people behind us was on his cell phone about 4 different times throughout the course of the movie. There was even a little notice during the previews asking people to turn their cell phones/pagers off, though I suppose that's irrelevant if you're too much of a jackass to realize that turning these things off is common sense and/or courtesy. Grr. Argh.
But hey, the movie was good. Less gory than Hannibal, but definitely very creepy. Especially the very end, because I was really not expecting that. And wow, he ate the painting. Someone needs to let Mr. D in on a little secret... *whispers* paint chips are not part of a healthy, balanced diet. Although who knows, maybe severe psychotics have different nutritional needs than regular people. Maybe 200 year old paint is just the stuff for those kooky serial killers. Hmm. Anyway. Ed Norton rocks.
I got this CD at Borders. It's good. Good CD. Yum. I'm tempted to go off in search of pencils today. Adam is, as I said, getting his car fixed this morning and then I think getting together with Pat and Brian, so I'll have some free time to fill up. And since I have no friends, it's either reading my Anthro stuff, writing my paper, or jetting off to find pencils. Not that I can really afford pencils at the moment, but hey. Humor me.
Bleh. I'm in a kind of foul mood. I'm hungry and all I've got is junk food and bland, unpleasantly tasteless oatmeal. Oh, and crackers. But I've had some of those already. Mer.
I'm going to go do stuff. Either shower or work on my paper, most likely. I'll write later.
(FYI, the title of this entry was a Google hit from last night or so.)
