clean-up needed in Aisle Crap
Oh, Monday. Ever the happy occasion, no? Although I'm not terribly upset by it this time, because it means that I don't work tonight. Which is good because my feet hurt like a mofo. Still. It sucks. Also, I spent the entirety of my 7 hours shift yesterday organizing the clearance aisle... which leads me to believe that Cyndy (the manager) hates me in some way. She was like, "Make room for more stuff." And then my eyes rolled around like marbles and my brain exploded. Because that aisle? Is full. Even after it was all straightened up, it was still full. Granted, there was a bit of extra room, but all that was taken over by the stuff that had been lying all over the floor. So, you know, sorry, Cyndy, but unless you want to start suspending shit from the ceiling it just ain't gonna happen.
Adam is currently on his way back from dropping his mother off in Baltimore, where she will be staying until Wednesday to help Meghan with the baby. As such, I will be staying at his house for the next two nights. Unfortunately we'll see each other for like three total waking minutes, because he has class tonight and I work tomorrow night. But I'm still excited, because we haven't had a sleepover in ages. I'll be watching Buffy at Joe's while Adam is at class tonight, which should be fun as well. Maybe I can get started on knitting my dad's birthday present as well (scarf and hat set).
I got my very first paycheck on Saturday - a whopping 12 dollars and 89 cents. Damn occupational tax. I also got my very first speeding ticket, which was decidedly more than $12.89: 104 dollars. I was so sad. I cried. Yes, I did. It was pathetic, but what's new there? It's not like I didn't deserve the ticket - I was going 53 in a 35 MPH zone. But in my 4 years of driving, I've had very few altercations, none of them involving actual tickets and fines. So I'm sad about that. And sort of embarrassed. My mom was cool about it, though, probably because of the fact that it was my first and only violation. I'm very seldom naughty.
Well, dear readers, I'm starving. Also, I need to dry my hair. So I'm going to flit downstairs for some grooming and breakfast, and then it's off to school for another thrilling Drawing class. My ink wash painting isn't done to my satisfaction, but it's acceptable to turn in. I hope. I need to draw out some kinship charts before Anthro this afternoon, as I totally forgot about that assignment. So... fun times. I'll update later this evening if I get a chance; if not today, then tomorrow.
Oh! I almost forgot. Adam and I will be going to see Something Corporate in Philly on November 26th. Tickets have been purchased, plans have been made. I'm excited. Squee! (But not as excited as I will be when I get tickets to see Rufus on the 21st... oh, there will be celebration.) So that's fun.
Anyway, bye.
