other days the line tends to deviate
Hullo. How is everyone's Saturday going? Better than mine, I hope. Bad dreams and cramps and homework galore... a fun time it is not. The only good part so far was waking up next to Adam, but even that was sullied by the fact that I had my second bad, paranoia and suspicion-inducing dream in a row last night. And you know, the subject matter is like a larger, more elaborate version of all the fears I have in waking life, so it's like I can't even fucking stop thinking and worrying when I'm unconscious. Feh.
At the book I'm reading for Anthro is interesting. Two chapters down, 24 to go. I want to finish another two today, if I can, but I've got an English paper to write, research to do, and a present to wrap, so I don't know.
Adam and I rented The Devil's Advocate last night, because I've never seen it before. It was decent, but... long. And everyone yelled too much. Seriously, every other line in that movie was shouted. The overuse kind of negated the emphasis or incredible emotion that was supposed to be conveyed. Heh. Keanu Reeves displaying incredible emotion. What a wacky and completely impossible concept. After the movie we took a trip to Giant and bought caramel apples and some other yummy things. I love grocery stores. It's weird.
Ooh, yes, I also went shopping with my mom yesterday. I needed some wintery stuff, because my wardrobe is composed entirely of t-shirts, so I met her at the Old Navy in Colonial Park and stocked up on long-sleeved shirts. Just plain ones, because I refuse to wear anything with the damn Old Navy logo on it. And I got a coat, because I needed one. I have Adam's big green army-ish coat, but despite its large size, it doesn't keep me very warm. It's more of an autumn weather coat. So I saw a very fun, very warm coat that made my little heart jump, and I got it. Observe:
It's even more fun in person, too. The best part, though, is that though it looks sort of like those nasty leather and wool coats, it's entirely animal-free. Fleece on the outside, curly, wooly-looking fleece on the inside and at the hems, and plastic/enamel toggles. See? No animals required.
You know what's really, really fucking annoying? When your roommate leaves her Instant Messenger on all the time, even when she's not in the room, and doesn't turn off her speakers. Emily does this. Her sounds are the most headache-inducing things on the planet, and she apparently turns her volume up to the maximum level just to hurt me. GRR.
Hrm. Anyhow, I should start working on my English paper. I'll write later if I have time and/or something interesting to say.
Ciao.
