100 Things That Make Me Happy, part 9
81. Almonds.
82. Ranch dip... damn you, Adam!
83. Wings.
84. Sculpture (both making and observing).
85. Feeling understood and validated (too bad this doesn't happen very often).
86. Swimming.
87. Afternoon sunlight streaming through the leaves.
88. Getting things done (this is also a rare and valuable species).
89. Good poetry.
90. Anticipation.
I'm really glad this list is almost over. Thinking of things to put on it is becoming quite problematic. I was going to put "bubble baths," but that would be a lie. For some reason, I think that I liked them even though they really just make me feel sick. Not that it matters here, anyway. No bathtubs.
About an hour has passed between this paragraph and the last one... Adam and I went to brunch. And it sucked. It always sucks on Sundays. The only thing that keeps Sunday from sucking completely, food-wise, is the sundae bar during dinner. But I really shouldn't be taking advantage of that, in light of current discoveries. What current discoveries, you ask? Oh, it's nothing, really. I've just come to the realization that the dreaded "Freshman 15" has set up shop on my hips and has no intention of leaving. I came to this realization yesterday while I was getting dressed. My pants are not fitting very well. Erg. So... seriously, no jokes, diet time. And exercise time. Because I cannot deal with being any fatter.
It's 1:01 p.m. and I am dreading the rest of today. Homework, the return of the roommate, and the impending doom that is class tomorrow... blah. Why in god's name did I ever think that I would enjoy extra school? I mean, okay, if I were in art school someplace (which was my original intent), sure, I'd probably like it more. But as it stands, I'm studying things that don't really interest me or have much bearing on what I may eventually end up doing for a living, and while I enjoy the fact that I get to see Adam every day, I am not particularly fond of all the work. Dammit. And I'm here voluntarily, too, so I can't even place the blame on anyone else.
Anyway... ooh, I sort of adopted Mason's Super Nintendo, so now I've got Mario action to amuse me. And Adam and I have been playing Star Fox Adventure all weekend. It's fun times, yo.
I'll write later, most likely. Cheers.
