like hurricane harbor without the fun
Goodness... is it Friday yet? No? Damn, I was hoping that some sort of time warp thing happened while I was asleep and the rest of the week had disappeared into the sucking pit of misery from whence it sprang. From whence it sprang? I don't even know if that's right, because the only whey I ever hear it is "from whence it came." Oh well, I'm all good with bucking tradition.
So I registered for classes this morning. It wasn't as painful as I was expecting it to be, so there's a plus. English Communications II (blah), Elementary French II (blah), Business of Information (triple blah with extra ick sauce), Global Popular Music (wee!), and Two-Dimensional design (weeeeeee!). Stupid freshman requirements. In English this morning, Dr. Pettice dropped the oral presentation bomb - I swear to god I almost cried. I was so relieved, because I didn't see an oral presentation anywhere on the syllabus... fuck. I'm a horrible public speaker. And yes, I consider a class oral presentation to be public. It's about 25 people that I don't know or like, and I have to stand up in front of them and try to persuade them into thinking one way or another about something. I was dreading this paper anyway, because I have no idea what I'm going to write about, but now I'm just... mer. Very, very mer. At my next conference I'm seriously going to inquire about how low my grade would be if I just didn't do the speech. Grr.
Adam was supposed to come down like 10 minutes ago so that we could go to lunch... hrm. I'm going to go up and grab him, because as it stands we're going to be packed into the fucking dining hall like cattle (I hate eating lunch at noon). Ciao.
